June 22, 2001 >>Took Kaitou Saint Tail and Vampire Princess Miyu TV off the distro list, due to commercial lisence (as much as I fear that TokyoPop will do a horrible job with them). I will also be putting Berserk back up, as soon as I can get confirmation that Urban Visions deal to lisence the show has fallen through. Translation on Sugoiyo Masaru-san is proceeding nicely, and we will hopefully have the first volume (12 episodes) ready for distro in a month or two. On another note, the translator for Masaru-san may become a permanent member of our group, and help us with several future translations, and some of the timing and editing work, as well.
May 20, 2001 >>Took the 3 tape limit off of requests, though it still applies to SASE. Also, removed Berserk from the distro list, since it's been picked up commercially. I've been working recently with KOA productions doing timing of his scripts for GTO, and should be getting GTO tapes from him to add to my distro soon. Also, we are beginning work on a new project, Sugoiyo Masaru-san. It's an incredibly funny show with short episodes.
April 17, 2001 >>Made a semi-major update to the site today. Added the paragraph about the group at the top of this page, and added a page dedicated to info about Mystech Productions here. Also have decided to put up a page of banner ads here. The banner ads are primarially intended to raise money to replace the traditional sponsorship of shows that we subtitle. We will not solicit sponsors, nor have set rates for sponsors, for any show which we subtitle. I have made a point of putting all the banner ads on one page, so that anyone who does not wish to see them need not be subjected to them. Any money which might be earned from these ads will be applied exclusively towards either expanding our distro, or the production of our own fansubs.
March 1, 2001 >>Ok, I just added Himiko Den 1-8, Vampire Princess Miyu TV 1-8, NeoRanga 1-24, Inu Yasha 1-7, Windaria, Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne 13-20, Akazukin ChaCha 5-8, D4 Princess 13-24, and Akihabara Dennou Gumi 1-10 to the distro list. Also updated the rules page, and moved some of the older news items to an archive page.
February 14, 2001 >> I just added some Ryu Knight, Saint Tail, and all of To Heart to the distro list. Expect to see Inu Yasha, Neoranga, Windaria, Himiko Den, and more Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne and D4 Princess within the next couple of weeks. Translation for the Shurato OAV has almost entirely stopped for the time being, due to a lack of time to work on it. I've added a status page, though until someone other than members of my local anime club request anything from me, it doesn't mean much.
Janruary 26, 2001 >>I've added D4 Princess, Legend of Basara, and the Marmalade Boy Movie into the distro list. I should be adding Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, Elementalors, and more of Adventures of Mini-goddesses and Akazukin ChaCha at some time in the not too distant future.
Janruary 4, 2001 >>Well, I've got the fansub distro up and running now, for what it's worth. I've only got a few titles, but I'll be adding more to the list. I'll also be filling in the quality and notes on more of the tapes. For now, only the ones I remember as being fairly bad have a quality rating. I'll also try to get around to giving all the pages on this site a facelift. You can see the list of titles I'm currently distributing here, and the rules/instructions for making a request here.
December 15, 2000 >> Sorry for the long period with no updates, but I've been rather busy between school and work and trying to translate. The translation for the Shurato stuff is coming along, albeit very slowly. Also, in case anyone should happen to care, Mystech Productions currently consists of 2 people, myself (Eldin) and KT (A friend and fellow anime fan). After the holidays are over with, I intend to start up a fansub distro service in addition to my own subtitling efforts, and I'll be giving this page a serious facelift.
April 27, 2000 >> This site is the first new thing to announce ^_^. Mystech productions is a new fansubbing group located in Idaho of all places. We have subtitled Kiki's Delivery Service and Mononoke Hime to date, and I intend to subtitle all of Studio Ghibli's works which are not available in subtitled format. However, any of these titles which are or become commercially available in any format in the USA will not be distributed. Our current project is the Shurato - Heavenly Warriors Battle for Genesis OAV set. We are looking for copies of this, or any of the Shurato TV series, as well as any of Studio Ghibli's works in LD or DVD format. Anyone who could volunteer their services to assist with translation would also be greatly appreciated. I can translate, but it is slow going, and my accuracy isn't always everything I could wish for, so any help is greatly appreciated.
