About Us

Welcome to the Mystech Productions website. Mystech Productions is a group dedicated to bringing fansubtitled anime to American fans. Our goal in this is not to compete with the legitimate companies who lisence anime titles and release them domesticly, but rather to provide wider access of anime which would otherwise be unavailable except in raw japanese to english speaking fans. As such, we do not distribute any title for which there is an english subtitled version available commercially in the US. For more information on fansubs, fansubbing, and the ethics thereof, please check fansubs.net. In addition to distributing fansub titles, we also work on our own subtitling projects, which will be available for distribution under the same guidelines as any other fansubs we distribute.

We are located in Boise, ID, and affiliated with MONAC (Middle of Nowhere Anime Club).

Currently, Mystech Productions consists of 1 member, Me. Below is a listing of the things that I do involving distro/fansubbing

Maintaing this web site and handling email for the group.
Owning all the hardware used in subbing/distroing.
    Editing and timing of scripts.
Some translation (not terribly good at it though).
Most of the tape copying for the distro.
    Designing of tape labels.

We are currently looking for a regular translator who is better at it than I am, and is willing to do translation work for minimal fees + a master copy of anything we subtitle. We would also consider anyone who can contribute to the subtitling process in other ways (ie. providing source material, editing or timing scripts, etc.) for membership.

The equipment currently used for subtitling/duplication is as follows -
    Amiga 1200
    GVP G-Lock genlock
    JACOSub subtitling software
Sub Station Alpha (for timing/editing of scripts)
    JVC SVHS VCR
    Zenith 4head HiFi Stereo VCR
    Apex 600A DVD Player
    Sony LD Player
Pentium 2 233Mhz PC w/ ATI AllInWonder 128 Video card
