Mystech Productions

Bringing Quality Anime to American Fans since 2000

This site is ALWAYS under construction!

Distro is:OPEN

Welcome to the Mystech Productions website. Mystech Productions is a group dedicated to bringing fansubtitled anime to American fans. Our goal in this is not to compete with the legitimate companies who lisence anime titles and release them domesticly, but rather to provide wider access of anime which would otherwise be unavailable except in raw japanese to english speaking fans. As such, we do not distribute any title for which there is an english subtitled version available commercially in the US. For more information on fansubs, fansubbing, and the ethics thereof, please check fansubs.net. In addition to distributing fansub titles, we also work on our own subtitling projects, which will be available for distribution under the same guidelines as any other fansubs we distribute. If you have any questions, comments, or criticisms relating to us or our web site, please email us at Mystech_Productions@juno.com.

NEWS-

June 3, 2002 >>Well, as unfortunate as it is, I'm being forced to raise my request rates due to the recent postal rate increase. Please see my rates page for new rates. However, there is also good news with this update. Starting today, I will be including with every request a free Anime Music Video VCD. The CD's will have about 1 hour worth of videos chosen at random from my collection, and be in standard VCD format so that they can be played on many DVD or stand-alone VCD players, or they can be played on most PCs with readily available software.

March 14, 2002 >>I've just had a review of my service posted by one of the people who has requested from me. It can be found here. Also, if anyone cares, there will be an anime con called Anime Oasis in my hometown April 5-7 that I'm helping to put together.

February 15, 2002 >>Well, another long period between updates. I've recently moved across town, though this shouldn't impact my distro in any way, it has cut into my time until just recently. On the upside, I'll be adding several new tapes to the distro list over the next week or so, as I check/rate them. This will include several further volumes of Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, among other things. Anyhow, since I'm doing this update on my break from work, I need to keep the time short, so that's all for now.

September 25, 2001 >>Sorry about the long time between updates, I've been busy with school, and with starting a new job recently. Also, there's not really much new to announce, I just don't like it to look like I've forgotten about the website. I've recently gotten hold of source for a couple more Studio Ghibli movies, and I'll be subbing them for personal use with scripts from the web, but won't be making them available for general distribution unless Disney's rights either expire or are canceled, though from what I hear, they've announced that they won't be releasing any more Ghibli titles in the states, so I suppose that there's some chance of their lisence becoming invalid sometime in the future.

August 9, 2001 >>I've found a cheaper source for my tapes, and lowered my prices accordingly. The new prices can be found on my rules/pricing page. Just got the translation for the opening song of Sugoiyo Masaru-san today. The translation of the episodes is going a bit slowly, but it is still progressing. I'll try to be updating the site a bit more often in the future.

July 8, 2001 >>Took several titles off the list due to announcements at AX. In particular, I removed the Adventures of the Mini Goddesses, Card Captor Sakura Movie, Inu Yasha, and Neo Ranga. Also, Berserk will not be put back up due to an AX announcement by Media Blasters.
